Stenco solved a problem of a pharmaceutical industry that required water for process and that when proceeding to its chlorination, trihalomethanes appeared in amounts higher than what was permissible for its use. Through hyperchlorination and subsequent filtration on activated carbon, keeping the system in constant recirculation, the necessary elimination of trihalomethanes was successfully achieved.
